Our seat cushions are filled with densified outdoor-grade foam and wrapped polyester batting. Our foam is a mold-resistant slab that retains its shape and resists mildew, this material boasts excellent drainage and long-lasting performance, making it the go-to choice for custom outdoor cushions, trusted by manufacturers and loved by customers for years.

Outdoor fabric and foam is designed to handle moisture and outdoor conditions, however this does not mean cushions should be expected to remain continuously saturated without care. Customers should understand that cushions need an opportunity to drain, dry, and air out especially after significant rain or moisture exposure.

Sunbrella upholstery fabric is water-resistant, not waterproof. It repels light rain and spills by making water bead up on the surface, but heavy or prolonged rain will eventually soak through the woven material. We suggest using ScotchGuard for added durability, covering or bringing in your cushions during heavy ready, and allowing cushions to dry out by leaning the seat cushion against a wall.

Important: Moisture, Mold & Mildew Prevention

Outdoor cushions are designed for outdoor use, but they should not be treated as maintenance-free or continuously waterproof furnishings. Exposure to rain, humidity, pollen, dirt and other environmental conditions requires regular care.

To reduce the risk of mold and mildew, allow wet cushions to dry completely and provide adequate airflow around all sides of the cushions. Whenever possible, stand or position wet cushions so water can drain and air can circulate. Avoid leaving cushions continuously wet, covered while damp, or sitting in areas where water can pool.

Regularly remove dirt, pollen, leaves, food residue, sunscreen, body oils and other organic material from the fabric. These substances can provide a food source for mold and mildew even though the performance fabric itself does not.

Mold and mildew resulting from moisture, humidity, environmental exposure, improper drying, accumulated organic matter, or insufficient care are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under our product warranty.

If mold or mildew becomes visible, address it promptly. Contact us for recommended cleaning and care instructions appropriate for your cushion fabric.

What is the thickness of the seat cushion?

If you have a seat cushion included in your cushion order, the cushion will come in standard thicknesses of 6 inches.

How do I clean and maintain the cushions?

Cleaning is straightforward; simply wash with mild soap and water, then rinse with a hose. For tougher stains, use a Sunbrella cleaning product. 

Are the cushion covers removable?

Yes, the cushions are removable with zippers, allowing for easy cleaning or replacement. 

How are the cushions shipped?

Your cushion set will be shipped via Fedex. They will be vacuum sealed and boxed. We recommend that you unpack your cushions so that they can begin to naturally de-wrinkle. If fabric has some wrinkling, use an iron on the synthetic setting. As iron temperatures may vary, first test a small inconspicuous area before ironing the entire piece.
